Clementine Chia Pudding
- 2 clementines
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1/4 cup Yogti chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons agave nectar
- 1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Grate 1/2 tsp zest from clementines into airtight container. Add milk, Yogti chia, agave, and nutmeg. Cover, shake, and refrigerate until thick (about 10 hours). Peel and segment clementines; refrigerate. Top pudding with clementines.
Chia Jam
- Yogti Chia seeds can be used to make homemade jams, owing to their absorption properties.
- Simply soak seeds in-1 cup water for 5 minutes. Heat your favorite chopped berries (strawberries, mulberries, blueberries), until soft. Mash the berries and mix with the soaked chia. Let it cool down for 10-15 minutes.
Vanilla-almond chia breakfast bowl
Ingredients:
- 50g oat, 200ml unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp low-fat natural yogurt, 25g Yogti chia seeds,150g punnet blueberry, slivered or flaked 25g almond, clear honey, to taste
Method:
- Mix all the porridge ingredients in a bowl and leave to soak for at least 20 mins. Once the oats have softened, stir through half the blueberries. If the porridge is too dry, add a little water. Divide the mixture between 2 bowls and top each with the remaining berries, almonds and honey.
Apricot & Chia seed protein bar
Ingredients:
- 140g dried apricot
- 40g oats,and desiccated coconut
- 25g sunflower seed
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 15g dried cranberries
- 3 tbsp hemp protein powder
- 1 tbsp Yogti chia seeds
Method:
- Pure apricots in a food processor with 150ml boiling water and the oats, then scrape the mixture into a bowl. Toast coconut, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in a non-stick pan over a low heat, then stir into the apricots with the cranberries, hemp powder and chia seeds to make a thick paste. Roll into a long log on a sheet of cling film. Wrap tightly, chill, then slice thinly to serve. Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks.
